Gary Schwartz shared thisI've been building websites for a long time. Like a really long time. Like when I started, my favorite HTML editor was Notepad. That kind of long time. I've seen the development of so many technologies to make design, implementation, and deployment easier and more reliable (anyone remember the CSS Zen Garden)? New CMSs everywhere. I've worked in Kentico, WordPress, HubSpot. I worked for a vendor who built prototyping tools to complement their other web development tools. This past few months, however, blew my mind. We asked our Creative Director, Stephanie Erdel-Laws, to migrate our website off HubSpot and onto a headless server, designing prototypes and building pages with Claude Code. It would have been easy to treat this with fear: Is AI going to take away my job??? But that's not how Stephanie is built, and instead she embraced the challenge. The result? We migrated our entire site onto the new platform in five weeks. Among other things, it's HELLA FAST now. No bloated code or scripts running to slow things down (and with the same functionality and user experience). But even better, when it came time to redesign, build and deploy the new home page that we published yesterday, the entire process was shortened dramatically. Claude Code built a prototype that included animations directly from conversational input. In a day. We spent more time with internal teams discussing the story and the content than we did prototyping and building. The result is something that would have taken way longer and that tells our brand story in such a clean way. We're excited!! And we can't wait to redesign and rewrite our product and solution sections to launch them a month from now. The lesson? AI isn't coming to replace us. But people who quickly become experts in having AI augment their skills are. Be irreplaceable. And check out the new https://netrise.io/. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Gary Schwartz shared thisEarly last year I took on a fractional CMO role with a startup based in Austin, about to announce its Series A round. The vibe was incredible. The product addressed a serious cybersecurity problem in a very unique way and with some very big customers. The CEO and I aligned quickly on marketing strategy and tactics, and when the new CRO joined a month later, we literally finished each other’s sentences the first time we met. NetRise felt like home very quickly, and when Thomas Pace asked me to come on board full time, I was all in. The mission is strong and the countless sleepless nights and long weekends with the team we’ve built has been one of the most fun and most gratifying experiences of my life. We’re solving what is arguably the oldest and most important problem in cybersecurity - securing the software supply chain. Today we announced that Accenture is bringing us into a company led by Dragos, Inc. and that will include runZero and Phosphorus Cybersecurity Inc.. You can read the release, and know that we’re bringing together technology that will identify, assess, manage, and address risk in the operational technology and critical infrastructure on which our society depends. It’s been an insanely fun and rewarding journey. Big thanks to Tom for inviting me along and for his incredible leadership, to his co-Founder Michael Scott for a product vision that continues to drive us, to Rick Beattie, MBA for being the best partner in crime to execute on our GTM strategy, to Robbie Robbins who treats partnership and alliances like a ferocious sales leader, Brandon Somers, the only CFO I've ever worked with who starts each conversation with "how can we make this happen," and to my amazing team: Tyler Slocum, Stephanie Erdel-Laws, Ryan Owen, MBA, CPCU, FLMI, Holly Tam, Amandah Magnarelli, Danielle Ostrovsky, and Celia Sullivan, for embracing new technology (especially AI) and for your creativity to be as kickass and innovative as the rest of the business. Can’t wait for the next chapter! Read the announcement here: https://lnkd.in/ggAx-4GYAccenture to Strengthen Critical Infrastructure Defense with End-to-End Cybersecurity Platform in Age of AI-Driven Cyber Threats and Geopolitical RiskAccenture to Strengthen Critical Infrastructure Defense with End-to-End Cybersecurity Platform in Age of AI-Driven Cyber Threats and Geopolitical Risk

Gary Schwartz shared this33M downloads per month equates to about 11,450 downloads during the 15 minutes this compromised version was available. And 6,500 upstream dependencies that directly or indirectly call this one. Quarantined in 15 minutes still leaves a lot of people at risk. Would you like to know straightaway whether your vendor delivered an exploitable product to you? Or whether your automated build pipeline happened to injest it inadvertently? Give us a call and we can help you discern your exposure in minutes so you can take immediate action.

Application security teams are not asking for more findings. They are asking for better verification of which risks actually matter. Today Veracode launched the Veracode Marketplace — a curated ecosystem of security integrations built for the AI-powered software development era. Every partner is vetted for technical depth and workflow fit, every integration is anchored to Veracode findings for a unified audit trail, and every purchase runs through a single contract. DryRun Security joins as the inaugural partner, bringing AI-native code analysis that reasons across intent, behavior, and application context. Gary Schwartz reacted on thisGary Schwartz reacted on thisToday we’re launching the Latio AI Assistant, allowing teams to quickly find the most relevant security tool for their use case. The original Latio application was created out of a frustration with existing marketplaces, which often have irrelevant data and mismatched tools. AI has only made this problem worse, as data quality is driven by whatever marketing materials a vendor makes available. As a practitioner and buyer, I never found these resources helpful, and wanted something that gave me relevant information, as I needed it. Latio now lists well over 350 vendors, accurately categorized by hand, and over 200 pages of reports, also written by humans. Our AI Assistant feature allows teams to quickly add their existing stack, and works alongside them to find the most relevant solution. It’s now available in beta to everyone, for free. https://lnkd.in/d7QVipgy

Meta descriptions aren’t always shown in search results anymore. Find out why, how AI changes search snippets, and what you can do to prepare your site. Your carefully crafted meta descriptions are vanishing from search results at an alarming rate. Google now rewrites 60-70% of all meta descriptions, and the search giant is actively testing AI-generated summaries to replace them entirely.

I've been on the receiving end of a tidal wave of tools: plug-and-play marcom templates, five-minute content factories & lead-gen bots promising a pipeline overnight. The 2025 Martech Landscape lists over 15,000 solutions across dozens of categories, with AI bolting into nearly every slot. Big platform players are embedding apps & software development kits (SDKs) to become one-stop hubs, which reshapes how companies pick tools & where work happens. CRM & marketing suites are folding AI into core workflows, from content assist to lead scoring & automation, so choosing a vendor often means choosing how your process will be organized for years. Most vendors compete in the same shallow water: speed, templates & low-price automation. The real blue oceans are in integration depth & domain expertise, tools that understand a sector’s regulatory nuances, cultural language, or distribution realities create defensible value. Why this noise hurts? When every vendor claims “the one tool that builds your business,” the real casualty is focus. Teams chase the next shiny thing, rebuild workflows on every demo & dilute brand voice with generic templates. That creates more work, not less. To help you filter the noise and keep your day focused on strategic work, not tool-hopping, follow these rules: - Outcome-first: name the single metric or business outcome you need this month (lead quality, qualified meetings, conversion lift). If a tool doesn’t move that metric in a measurable way, it’s a distraction. - Workflow fit over feature porn: a tool that fits your current workflow 80% and removes real friction beats a perfect tool that requires wholesale process change. - Brand voice is non-negotiable: test outputs on real past assets. If the AI can’t sound like you after two passes, it’s not saving time, it’s creating editing debt. - Ownership and data: who owns the prompts, the content, and the audience data? If the contract doesn’t make this explicit, treat it with suspicion. - Small bets, observable learning: run a 2-week experiment with clear hypothesis & exit criteria. Stop fast when you learn nothing. At LEVEL11, we treat tools as tactical levers, never strategy. - Start with the outcome & the unique narrative, what makes this brand human and necessary. - Map existing workflows & pick the smallest AI integration that removes real friction (not the flashiest feature). - Design guardrails for voice, compliance & data ownership. - Run short experiments with clear KPIs, then scale what moves the needle - Keep a human-in-the-loop editorial layer that protects nuance & client trust. Remember! Speed is not the point. Clarity is. Use AI to free time for judgment, relationships, and strategy, the things template and bots can’t replicate. AI will never replace the architect role, the one deciding the strategy, the narrative, or the brand’s soul. That’s where a human founder, strategist, or advisor like LEVEL11 makes the actual difference. Let’s talk!
