Mike Phillippi reposted thisMike Phillippi reposted thisI'm super excited to share that RevSure AI has launched its own AI GTM Engineer. And the best part is that it's a byproduct of our own dogfooding. Over the last few years, we've been solving a problem that every modern GTM team faces: context is everywhere, but it's never in one place. For RevSure itself, we ingest and harmonize data across 23+ GTM systems: CRM, marketing automation, first-party website activity, visitor fingerprinting, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, call recordings, demo interactions, product usage data, email and meeting activity, and much more. For most enterprise teams, bringing all of this together requires 10 to 15 people working across operations, analytics, marketing, sales, and customer success. RevSure does it in weeks. Every lead, contact, account, campaign, meeting, interaction, and product signal gets harmonized, deduplicated, entity-resolved, and connected into a single context graph. But we realized something important. The real value isn't just connecting the data. The real value is what happens when AI can reason on top of that context. So we built an AI layer that continuously enriches the graph with signals, predictions, account intelligence, meeting insights, content signals, engagement patterns, and buying intent. And now we've exposed that entire context layer through MCP and agent interfaces. Not raw data. AI-enriched context. The result is what we call an AI GTM Engineer. An AI system that understands your business, your buyers, your campaigns, your pipeline, your product usage, and your customer journey because it has access to the full context graph behind it. You can deploy agents across the entire revenue funnel, from prospecting and qualification to pipeline management, campaign optimization, forecasting, and customer expansion. This isn't another AI wrapper. It's what happens when AI is built on top of a complete GTM context layer. We've been using it ourselves first. And now we're excited to bring it to everyone else. Welcome to the next chapter of RevSure.

Mike Phillippi shared thisSpot on. Deepinder Singh Dhingra summarizes it well. You need a system for action and actual revenue impact. We have to take back control of the multiverse that is GTM. 😎 🦾 We all struggle with it. Modern GTM motions are super powerful, but insanely complex and overloaded. RevSure AI tames that noise, gives action to data and gives control to the agent tsunami. Check it out!Mike Phillippi shared thisMaking this video has been harder than running RevSure AI. I'm not a camera person. Never have been. But this felt necessary, because we’re on the edge of real chaos in GTM, and someone needs to say it out loud. There was a time when B2B GTM was simple. Marketing filled the funnel, sales closed deals, and you could count your tools on one hand. Then things got complicated with more tools, more channels, and more handoffs. By 2020, GTM teams were managing the chaos of tool explosion and fragmented data. Now we're entering something worse. I call it the Agent Apocalypse. Everyone's spinning up agents. Inbound agents, outbound agents, prospecting agents, content agents. An army that never sleeps and never talks to each other. Without shared context, your outbound agent misreads a single click and starts messaging every buyer like they're ready to purchase. Your content agent creates materials that contradict what sales is saying. Your prospecting agent burns leads marketing spent months warming up. It’s the same handoff and context-loss problem we’ve always had, just happening faster and at scale. This is why full-funnel visibility isn't optional anymore. If agents are operating across your GTM motion, they need a unified data and context foundation. The teams that will win won’t have the most agents. They’ll have systems of shared context, accountability, and common results. This video reflects how I see the future of GTM and the problem we’re building to solve at RevSure AI. Mike Phillippi reposted thisMike Phillippi reposted thisCMOs keep telling me that their life goal is to stop being a full-time CMO. More of us than ever are opting out, going fractional, building our own businesses, dreaming of our final escape from the hamster wheel. We are collectively burning out, and here’s why: We’re consistently being handed linear pipeline and revenue goals that are based on a simple spreadsheet calculation… and completely disconnected from the realities of the market. Transitioning a business away from idealistic, magical spreadsheet forecasting can be very challenging, especially if we don’t have years of solid historical data to help make the case. We know that account-driven marketing (or whatever you want to call it) - connecting with the people who make up a buying committee at a specific company that’s a great fit for whatever we’re selling - is the most effective way to build strong relationships that drive meetings, deal acceleration, and higher ACVs… but reporting at the account level requires overhauling attribution models, comp structures and GTM processes, and few of us have the time or grace to slow down for that. We’re building trust and rapport with more people in growing buying committees by crafting memorable, meaningful experiences across many different channels… and then we’re forced to distill that non-linear, multi-channel buying journey down to one first or last touch because that’s the way the board/CEO/CFO is most comfortable thinking about it. We’re tasked with rapidly learning and deploying AI workflows… in a period when AI is changing weekly and it’s easier than ever to misfire and burn trust - buyers are more discerning, highly sensitive to quality and expect thoughtful, human personalization. We’re investing in brand marketing to drive demand because we know that only 5% of our potential buyers are in-market at any given moment, and when pipeline grows thanks to BRAND investment: direct traffic, branded organic search, events, WOM, dark social, etc… we’re frequently told “you’re good at that brand stuff, but you really need to improve on and invest in demand capture. Hack that buying journey.” We know that a strong product and consistent innovation underpins a winning marketing strategy, competitive differentiation and category leadership… and then we’re often told that the roadmap is a year or more behind, but product really has nothing to do with pipeline, and we should be able to manufacture momentum. Maybe it’s time for all of us to put a collective foot down. There is a better, more sustainable way, but we haven’t yet forced B2B to transition from old-school attribution, forecasting, and GTM models that don’t make sense. It’s beyond time.

Mike Phillippi reposted thisMike Phillippi reposted thisSometimes I make decisions based only on *gasp!* my previous experience and expertise as a marketing leader. I could easily spend nearly 100% of my days trying to justify marketing’s existence, and in some companies that seems to be expected. But that’s not the best use of our time. Ever wondered why marketing is usually the only team expected to constantly prove the exact value of every action we take? Finance isn’t asked how the meetings they had or spreadsheets they worked on this week directly contributed to the bottom line. Sales typically doesn’t have to justify how all of their time is spent or prove the impact of each action they take, as long as they hit quota. Product spends weeks, months, sometimes years investing in things that cannot be neatly tied back to revenue. CX doesn’t usually have to justify their time spent as long as retention stays strong and customers are happy — no one’s asking them about magic levers. There are lots of folks opining about what marketing should measure in order to be taken seriously. The fact is, buyers are nearly 70% through their purchasing process before they engage and raise a hand. It’s easiest to track the end of that nonlinear journey and focus on “demand capture,” but everything that came before is what actually put you in the consideration set to begin with. And that’s really hard to track and report on neatly. Sometimes we need to do things now because we have the experience to know they’ll pay off down the line, even when we don’t have historical data to back it up. Even if it’ll take awhile to find out if it moves the needle. When we only invest in the immediately measurable, we’re limiting our impact and devaluing the power of our earned experience.

Mike Phillippi shared thisLol so trueMike Phillippi shared thisMarketing is easy - Your CEO wants you to "do marketing like Apple" with 0.001% of their budget - Sales wants more leads by next week, and also, "the leads you're sending are garbage" - Your board member sees people going viral on TikTok and asks your CEO, "Why isn't your marketing team doing this?" - Your product team: "We're launching at the end of the month.": Reality: They launch 6 months later - Engineering: "Yes, we can add that form to the website; we'll need to rebuild the entire tech stack; it will take 3 months." - You're brand campaign has gone through 6 stakeholder reviews and several legal reviews. You've lost the will to live - Finance: "Explain the ROI of brand building." Also, Finance: "No, not like that." - Every sales rep: "My territory is different, the usual playbook won't work here." Every territory: Exactly the same problems - Executive: "We need more organic social media presence." Same executive: Has one follower on Twitter: - Agency: "We'll 10x your pipeline." Narrator: They did not 10x the pipeline Hug a marketer, it's rough out there :)

Mike Phillippi reposted thisMike Phillippi reposted thisOver past 2-3 years I’ve literally met 100s of recruiters, VCs, CEOs, Talent Partners and all of them say being a CMO is incredibly hard and tenure is historically low. Yet, when I look around at all my CMO friends, they are some of the brightest people I’ve ever met in my life. This was re-affirmed over the last week as I saw many of them from the hottest tech companies in the world. So why this sentiment? Are my friends all really morons and I just can’t see it? Definitely not. It comes down to one word that gets mentioned in nearly every conversation: expectations. The expectations for what these superhuman CMOs need to deliver is completely out of whack with how marketing actually works. Marketing is incredibly hard, especially with the amount of things you are expected to know from being a visionary brand builder to knowing all your metrics cold, while delivering fast results on a constrained budget. So when CMOs talk about working for a CEO who “gets’ marketing, it’s not because we (us) want someone who is great at marketing, but it’s because we need people who understand and support that: ✅ There’s no one playbook that will fix it all ✅ You can’t do it without incredible executive support ✅ You can’t do it alone, you need a team (when you are growing) ✅ It takes time ✅Lots of things will go right (because you are smart)… ✅ … and lots of things will go wrong (because so many conditions change in real-time) Marketing is about having more successes than failures Great marketing takes time, it’s not instant or easy The most important is the way a marketing leader shows up every day and continues to try, grind, improve, hustle, lead, all with a smile on her face Marketing can be the most incredible growth driver for a business. But needs the right environment to succeed. #marketing #leadership

Mike Phillippi liked thisJohn Stephenson and I have worked together through multiple chapters of our careers, and I’m incredibly grateful that this one brought us together at Tidalwave. He is one of the best relationship builders I’ve ever known, but more importantly, he is an even better friend. John is someone I trust completely, someone I learn from constantly, and someone I always want in my corner. Johnny, thank you for believing in what we’re building and for taking this journey with me. Tidalwave would not be the same without you. 🚀Mike Phillippi liked this“Oh captain my captain,” this week’s Team Spotlight goes out to the one and only, the Priceline Negotiator, Head of National Sales, John Stephenson! John is the kind of pro that exemplifies “relationship based selling,” because he could form a relationship with a brick wall. Equal parts professional, genial, and trustworthy, everybody knows Johnny Stephenson as the kind of guy you want in your corner, not just on your Rolodex. John’s also been around long enough for Rolodex references to be relevant. He’s been in mortgage, in some way, shape or form, for going on 40 years. Stretching across lending, tech, origination and fulfillment, John has led teams and delivered results for everyone from Old Second National Bank to ICE. Since joining Tidalwave in June of 2025, he’s brought that breadth of experience to bear in more than doubling our signed accounts. A native Chicagoan, John spends as much time as he can on the links, his boat, on stage jamming, or at the grill, be it with his family or colleagues. Not to mention the many, many days we keep him on the road — or the one time so far we brought the sales team to him in Chicago, where he impressed many with homemade crunch-wraps and candied jalapeños. We are eternally grateful for John’s guidance, and his team spirit. And we’re excited to see just how far he’ll take the org, as we continue to improve year over year. We caught up with John between flights to ask our Three Questions, see what he had to say: 🏠 Why mortgage? I started as an LO way back in the day. I loved helping people achieve homeownership, and realized in short order that mortgage was more lucrative than journalism, and never looked back. 🌊 Why Tidalwave? Our founder's vision, our team, the product, the speed at which we get things done, just to name a few. I can say without hesitation that our team is aligned on our mission more than any company I've ever worked for. No egos and no silos - just great collaboration and problem solving to deliver valuable solutions to our lenders. 📚 What's something you wish you'd learned sooner in your career? I wish I would have made the move from lending to tech sooner. While helping individual consumers is certainly rewarding, it's a one at a time proposition. In the B2B world, the overall impact and outreach is far greater.

Mike Phillippi liked thisMike Phillippi liked thisIt is Day 280 living with a terminal cancer, and yesterday I watched my 11-year-old daughter, Iris, stand on the Harvard-Westlake stage with her arms stretched as wide as they could reach while singing “The Square Root of Possible.” (Video in comments) At 11 years old, children rarely think about probability. They do not calculate the odds before raising their hand, auditioning for a role, or stepping onto a stage. They simply believe that something is possible and move toward it with curiosity, courage, and conviction. Somewhere along the way, adulthood teaches us to do the opposite. Cancer certainly tries. Every CT scan, MRI, blood draw, infusion, endoscopy, and conversation with my oncologist reminds me that I am living with stage iv pancreatic cancer. Statistics quietly encourage me to think smaller, plan less, and measure my future by percentages instead of possibilities. Then I watched Iris sing. Iris was not wondering whether she belonged on that stage, she already believed she did. She opened her arms, trusted her voice, and gave everything she had to the moment to all of us! Watching my 11-year-old daughter reminded me that possibility is not something we find, it is something we choose every single day. I do not know how much time I have, but what I do know is how I want to spend it. I want to continue building Respiris so people navigating career transitions never feel alone. I want to start writing letters and creating videos that Iris may not read until she is 13, 18, or even 30. I want to keep investing in her education, her life experiences, and her confidence so she always knows her Dad believed in her long before the world did. What struck me most yesterday was that none of us reaches our full potential alone. Let’s think about that for a minute. Every child who walks onto a stage has parents, teachers, classmates, neighbors, coaches, and friends quietly betting on them before they ever believe in themselves. I hope this community continues to bet on Iris, not because she is my kid, but because she is a remarkable 11-year-old beginning to discover her talents. I know if you are here reading this you continue to bet on me. Please continue to bet on us together while I have the privilege of cheering from the front row. And if life eventually asks Iris to continue her journey without me physically beside her, I hope you will keep betting on her then, too, and extend your network and resources to her. The greatest gift any community can give is not simply encouragement in the moment, but belief that endures across generations. Perhaps “The Square Root of Possible” is not about solving an equation. Perhaps it is about me and you believing in someone before the outcome is known. That is the equation I choose to solve on Day 280.

Mike Phillippi liked thisMike Phillippi liked thisIt is Day 275 living with cancer and am trying to figure out how you take a leave of absence from a company that depends on you to keep moving forward. Before cancer, I believed a leave of absence meant stepping away from work. Stage IV pancreatic cancer taught me that the greater challenge is stepping away from the belief that everything depends on you, especially when your company, your family, and your survival compete for the same time and energy. My diagnosis did not simply add chemotherapy to my calendar, it completely redesigned my life. I transferred my care from Kaiser Permanente to City of Hope, relocated from Studio City to La Cañada Flintridge to be near City of Hope, sought a 3rd opinion from Memorial Sloan Kettering, and built an AI oncologist because I wanted to understand every possible treatment option. Respiris continued to evilve while I endure infusions, scans, blood draws, and uncertainty. New ideas emerge, pilots succeed, others fail, and every experiment reinforces that innovation requires humility as much as conviction. At home, Iris prepares for a new school, which meant applications, planning, and another transition for our family. Moving into a new apartment also became an unexpected metaphor because almost none of my furniture belonged there. Looking back, I realize life was asking a different question: What parts of the old version of yourself still belongs after everything changes? Treatment has challenged my independence. Friends, LinkedIn family, and complete strangers surrounded me with extraordinary kindness, while prayers, encouraging messages, invitations to visit, and continued support through our GoFundMe campaign has carried us. Every contribution has allowed me to continue investing in Iris’s future through her UTMA account, Minor Roth IRA, and 529 College Savings Plan, transforming generosity into a legacy that will outlive my diagnosis. Gratitude fills my heart, yet another truth quietly emerged. As more people entered my life, I slowly stopped living it. Appointments replaced quiet mornings. Other people’s schedules became my schedule, their concerns often became my concerns, and somewhere beneath all the love and support, my own voice became harder to hear. Nobody intended for that to happen. Love has a remarkable way of filling every available space, yet healing also requires enough room to hear yourself think. Over the next two weeks, I am giving myself permission to spend time alone with my cancer because I want to reconnect with the person they have all been fighting so hard to protect. My hope is to think deeply, write honestly, redesign Respiris so it becomes less dependent on me, and imagine the next chapter with the same determination that has carried me through these first 275 days. Cancer has revealed something I never expected. Reinspiration is not about becoming someone new, it is finding your way back to the person you fell in love with before cancer.

Mike Phillippi liked thisMike Phillippi liked thisHave a professional ask in the world of B2B Sales Leadership? _____________________ Five years ago I made the decision (And, investment of time & money) to join a local Executive Round Table group of B2B Sales Leaders. It has been one of the most valuable career decisions/investments I've made. I talk to other revenue leaders on a monthly basis who are curious about what something like this looks like, and share how desperately they need something like this. One of my favorite elements of our monthly in person gathering is "Asks", which is a designated time in the agenda for anyone in the group to bring a formal ask around a current challenge, roadblock, or issue they are facing in their role, personal life, on their team, etc. This is only a portion of how we spend our time together, but has made massive impacts on the members over the years. Today was no different. We had some great asks, and covered some awesome topics around leading B2B sales teams in 2026. Cheers to continuous learning, & investing in our career!

Mike Phillippi liked thisA great human being, and one I have the real privilege of knowing. Thank you for bringing your whole self to Tidalwave and for being such an essential part of the Tidalwave family!! "Chris has assembled a true rockstar team." - SO TRUE. ❤️❤️❤️Mike Phillippi liked thisThis week’s Team Spotlight goes to the best sales leader we know - the man who inspires all of us : Partner & CRO, Chris McLendon ! Chris began at Tidalwave in February 2025, and has assembled a true rockstar team of past connections and former teammates. Chris leads by example and keeps that team focused to ensure Tidalwave remains on the impressive growth trajectory we've already seen. Chris himself is the kind of leader that most people wish they could work with, and will follow anywhere. A consummate professional with a big network, he’s got the mix of experience, presence, and humor that helps our team to go big and get it done. True leadership leads from the front, and Chris stays at the tip of the spear for Tidalwave. Chris is the smiling face you need on those hard days, and is always in your corner and ready to go to bat. Having earned his stripes over 20+ years, spanning from his own mortgage & title shop through to leadership roles at titans like Ellie Mae/ICE and Black Knight, that experience has been hard earned. Chris is the guy everyone always wants to run into, meet with and spend time with. Between his conferences, on-sites, family time, new puppy training, and morning runs, we managed to catch him for long enough to get our Three Questions answered. Read his answers below: 🏚️Why mortgage? I've spent more than 25 years in the mortgage industry because it's built on relationships. I started my career helping borrowers navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, and that passion eventually led me into mortgage technology. Today, I enjoy helping lenders solve hard problems, build better businesses, and ultimately make homeownership a little easier for the families they serve. The technology continues to evolve, but the people and the purpose are what have kept me here. 🌊Why Tidalwave? After spending most of my career with established companies, I wanted the opportunity to help build something from the ground up. I was fortunate enough to cross paths with Diane Yu, who shared a vision for what Tidalwave could become and the team we could build together. She invited me to be part of that journey, and it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. What makes Tidalwave special isn't just the technology. It's the people, the culture, and the shared belief that we can make the mortgage experience better for lenders, loan officers, and borrowers. Getting to build alongside a team you trust, solve real problems, and challenge the status quo every day is what makes the journey so rewarding. 📖What's something you wish you'd learned sooner in your career? Relationships compound. The deals come and go, but your reputation stays with you. Early in my career, I thought success was about closing the next opportunity. Today, I know it's about earning trust, helping people, and playing the long game. If you do those things consistently, the opportunities have a way of finding you..

Episode 17 of #FlowScience: The Great Attribution Uncloaking—Unmasking Where Your Pipeline Actually Comes From. Let’s be honest: Most marketers don’t have an attribution problem. They have a visibility problem. In this episode, we tore through the noise to find what really drives ROI clarity: → How leading brands are merging UTMs, CRM signals, and intent data to build “truth maps” → Why over-focusing on last-touch kills optimization efforts mid-funnel → The surprising attribution models that helped a B2B SaaS client reclaim 21% pipeline loss → When to trust native ad platform data—and when it quietly lies to you → A zero-BS walkthrough of building attribution loops inside HubSpot and Salesforce Here’s the kicker: No model is perfect. But the ones that help you make better decisions faster? Those win. Your leads are already telling you where they came from. You just need to listen better. → Want your attribution strategy pressure-tested? #FlowScienceByMavlers #AttributionModeling #MarketingAttribution #RevOps #HubSpotTips #SalesforceCRM #B2BMarketing #LifecycleAnalytics #PerformanceMarketing

The best B2B brands aren’t going dark in Q5. ➡️ They’re publishing bold POV content. ➡️ Re-engaging in-pipeline accounts. ➡️ Nurturing high-value segments. ➡️ And launching light ABM campaigns that tie directly to FY25 goals. AI is rewriting the B2B GTM playbook, but not replacing the human touch. Here are 4 practical shifts we’re seeing: - Signal-based targeting beats cold lists. Follow real intent, not just titles. - Faster learning loops: AI helps test, tweak, and optimize messaging on the fly. - Agile handoffs: Let automation handle volume: but make sure humans step in for high-stakes moments. - Data-driven intros: The right warm intro is worth 10 cold emails; AI can spot them, but trust must still be built. Takeaway: In B2B, AI gets you in the door faster. But relationships and trust? Still 100% human. #GTM #B2B #AI #Sales #HumanTouch

LLMs are quietly transforming how digital marketing teams think, plan, and execute. Not by replacing people, but by changing the pace and precision of what’s possible. In SEO, they help uncover patterns in search intent. In content strategy, they fuel ideation and bring structure to scattered thoughts. In reporting, they simplify the complex, making data easier to act on, not just look at. The future of marketing isn’t just about automation. It’s about how teams combine human creativity with intelligent systems to build faster, smarter, and more meaningfully. The real question now isn't if LLMs should be part of marketing workflows. It's how thoughtfully they’re being integrated. #LLM #DigitalMarketing #SEO #AIinMarketing #ContentStrategy #FutureOfWork #SearchMarketing #MarketingTools #Digiholic
