Sometimes, life gives us moments that words simply cannot describe. No wealth. No title. No achievement. Just the gift of seeing the people you love. This beautiful moment reminds us that happiness is often found in the simplest things: Seeing the world for the first time. Recognizing your loved ones. Feeling the warmth of family. Being grateful for what we often take for granted. We spend so much of our lives chasing success, money, recognition and achievements. But moments like this remind us: The most priceless things in life are not things at all. They are people. They are memories. They are health. They are love. They are hope. Take a moment today to appreciate what you already have. Because sometimes, the greatest miracle is simply being able to see, feel, love and be loved. Respect to every mother, every woman, and every person who makes someone’s world a little brighter.

When I have been at my low points, I've used this as motivation that I need to get moving. I can't stay stuck where I am when everything around me is hell. I just watched Greg Brockman from OpenAI deliver a TED talk: TED Talk Summary: -GPT-4 demo: generated images using DALL-E of a potential meal after the TED event -Then generated shopping list to actually host that meal, then used plugins to go to Instacart to order that meal. -Then GPT connected to Twitter, and published a tweet with that shopping list. -AI can solve complex problems, such as analyzing databases and working with spreadsheets -AI can rapidly identify data patterns and visually represent them in charts. -OpenAI can forecast trends, showcasing its potential in predicting future outcomes (the holy grail of AI). Insights Summary: -OpenAI, with fewer than 1,000 employees, has left tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Apple playing catch-up (which could cause an un-safe rush to launch AI products that have low safety) -OpenAI could become a superapp, an OS, or a browser. -Whoever builds the first AGI gains to rule the world, as it can predict the future, and is connected to most apps, OpenAI is currently in the lead. Last year during Global entrepreneurship week Tomorrow.City USA brought billionaires and government together in beautiful City of West Palm Beach, FL and showed us the future of cities. Yesterday they teamed up with our very own Nicholas Mohnacky and invited private and public sector to start planning next year’s event. Of course, I asked: Can we include Africa? Next year’s event will be awesome. The way people interact will be innovative! They want the Emirates, Africa and MIT to join… we’ll do our best!

She recently spoke during the Propeller Club - Port of Jacksonville’s executive spotlight luncheon about her role with the FMC and some of the initiatives they’re working on to protect America’s position in global trade and consumers’ ability to access essential goods. Thank you, Chairman DiBella, for sharing your insights and taking the time to connect with the region’s industry professionals. Neil Weintraut liked thisNeil Weintraut liked thisWelcome Rasyn (YC S26) to the Neer Venture Partners. Ansh Tiwari, Ayush Chauhan, and Daood Hashmi are building foundational AI models for chemistry. They are starting with the specialty chemicals market (coatings, adhesives, lubricants, coolants, etc.) and have demonstrated that they can go from spec to filed patent application in 3 weeks (versus potentially years for traditional trial-and-error approaches). The talented young team combines a chemist, physicist, and engineer, bringing experience from Caltech and NASA, with research used by OpenAI and Meta. They have great early traction with $4MM in signed contracts with large industrial customers. I think they only accepted Neer Venture Partners into the round because understanding royalty monetization will soon become valuable to them and, separately, because chemical engineering grad student Holden Neer was involved in evaluating the tech (his portfolio DD work for NVP includes SiPhox Health, Adaptyv, and MaverickX so he’s on a roll). Neil Weintraut liked thisNeil Weintraut liked thisThis week, CSA joined our International Chamber of Shipping colleagues in Washington, DC, for formal meetings with the Consultative Shipping Group and U.S. federal agencies, including the Maritime Administration (MARAD), the Federal Maritime Commission, and the U.S. Department of State. The Consultative Shipping Group, currently chaired by the Danish Maritime Authority, brings together the maritime authorities of 18 shipping nations across Europe, Asia, and North America. This week’s discussions focused on U.S. and international maritime policy and its effect on global shipping, and on the value of consistent, predictable government policies for the operators who move the world's cargo. Making sure U.S. policymakers and international partners hear directly from vessel operators is central to what CSA does for its members. Learn more about membership: https://lnkd.in/duSh2udB

Ensimmäiset viikot ovat menneet paljolti kuunnellen: tapaamassa uusia kollegoita, asiakkaita ja yhteistyökumppaneita ja yrittäen ymmärtää syvällisesti, mikä tekee Sevendoksesta sen mitä se on: yli 500 asiantuntijaa, 11 syvästi erikoistunutta teknologia yhtiötä jotka rokkaavat yhdessä ja vahva tekoäly- ja data -osaaminen, joka näkyy konkreettisesti asiakastyössä joka päivä. Uuteen siirtyminen oli iso päätös, mutta juuri sellainen, joka pakottaa katsomaan asioita uusin silmin. Kokemus on opettanut, että parhaat organisaatiot rakentuvat ihmisten ympärille, ei org-kaavioiden. Se näkyy täälläkin. Kiitos jokaiselle, joka on ottanut minut vastaan avoimin mielin ja jakanut ajatuksiaan rehellisesti.
