Shawn Darmody shared thisSo excited and proud of the Harry Potter x Target collaboration led by Farin Williams and our seasonal team this Halloween season. When we talk about being bold and distinct in all that we do, this is a perfect example! Farin captures the vision, the journey, and the teamwork perfectly. Bravo team!Shawn Darmody shared thisThrilled to have the Harry Potter x Target candy collab launch earlier this month. This program is for the FANS. For everyone who dreamed of eating a Chocolate Frog on the Hogwarts Express, wondered what an Exploding Bonbon would actually taste like, or secretly hoped their Hogwarts letter was just a few years late — we hope this collection unlocks the kid in every zillennial’s soul and lets them share a little bit of that magic with the people they love. This program was a true collaboration across Target Owned Brand, Merchandising, and Warner Bros. — and, fittingly, the people behind it are huge fans themselves. Everyone worked incredibly hard to do the Wizarding World justice. More to come, but for now - Mischief Managed. https://lnkd.in/g8mzuNij Not a full list: Ted Halbur, Emily Boehm, Emily Sujka, Emily Nelson, Katherine Guarino, Raúl Villanueva, Mandy Mills, Rachel Lucia Buckvold, Lindsay Miller, Rosey Reuder, Jessica Wilson, Hannah Pierce-Mitchell, Tim Jones, David Caro, Diane Douglas Tavegia, John Conlin, Shawn Darmody, Jon Morrill, Brian Pelc, Nicole Mulconrey, Nicole Mazzali, Eric Barajas, Brianna Raymo, Shannon (Furlong) Orlando, Matthew Gassner, Brian Bardzinski, Ann Willis, Stacy Oakley, Cindy Swanson, Stephanie Schwartz Iacono, Kelly Paton, Drew Kleiman, Kirsten Chelberg, Karin Gold, Lindsey Johnson, Kathy Yoon, Ann Maranzano, Reham Habib, Doris Miller.

Shawn Darmody shared thisIt was an energizing week at The Beverage Forum in Manhattan Beach! Congratulations to Danny Stepper and the entire LA Libations team for bringing to life a one-of-a-kind conference focused on learning, networking, and advancing industry partnerships. This event always leaves you excited about what’s ahead in the beverage space. On day one, I had the honor of participating in a panel alongside Benjamin Witte of Recess, Justin Whitmore of Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., and Allison Cohoon of Target. We discussed the distinctive approach Allison and her team are taking in beverages at Target, and how both Recess and KDP have built strong playbooks with us to drive excitement and growth. They’ve been incredible partners, and we’re thrilled with the momentum we’re building together. On day two, I had the privilege of moderating a rock star panel on iconic brands and how they’re breaking through in today’s highly disruptive market. The insights and expertise shared by Pamela Stewart of The Coca-Cola Company, Eddie Hayden of Red Bull, and David Coors of Molson Coors Beverage Company made it clear why these brands remain such an enduring part of our lives decade after decade. Our industry is at its best when both emerging and iconic brands are driving category growth. Grateful for the conversations on and off the stage, the partnerships, and the shared ambition—energized by what’s ahead in the beverage industry! #BeverageIndustry #Partnerships #CPG

Shawn Darmody shared thisThrilled to have joined the incredible energy at Founderland last week and to connect with so many inspiring founders, innovators, and disruptors who are charting a new direction for the CPG industry! Huge thanks to Josh Wand, Sean Kelly and the entire team at The Family Fund & Founder Community for the invitation and for hosting such a fantastic event. It was also an honor to sit on a panel with legendary founders Stephen Ellsworth (poppi), Brianna Bitton (O Positiv Health), Bobby Bitton (O Positiv Health), and our natural-born moderator, Sean Kelly. These founders put it all on the line to bring their visions to life — and it’s a privilege for all of us in retail to partner with brands like these to deliver bold, exciting innovation to our customers. Shawn Darmody shared thisA truly exciting opportunity this week to attend and speak at the Beverage Forum! In my session with our great host Danny Stepper we discussed the exciting trends driving rapid growth in the Beverage Industry and the dedicated partnership and creativity it takes between brands and retailers to make it all happen. For so long the industry has referred to this relationship as vendors, suppliers, and buyers. Such transactional terms. When we redefine and elevate that relationship to be a creative partnership that strives to deliver an amazing experience for consumers, we unlock so much more. A huge thank you to the entire team at L.A. Libations for developing and hosting a truly unique and energizing experience that provided a platform for us to redefine and elevate together!

Following an excellent presentation by Matt and Nick on the rise of protein and the evolution of snacking, we discussed how brands and retail approach new and evolving trends and what we see on the horizon for this exciting and growing category. I thought the panel and the discussion was a great representation of the important coordination and partnership it takes between brands, retailers, and industry data and insights leaders to realize the full potential of new trends and innovation. Shawn Darmody liked thisShawn Darmody liked thisTarget Halloween Candy set blew me away yesterday! Last year, I was disappointed that everybody in our neighborhood had the same pack of mainstream chocolate brands. So this year, I set out to make sure that our house hands out something fun and different! I was blown away by all the different brand choices at Target this year! Kinder! Shriekers! Gushers! Which one of these would you buy for your house?

Shawn Darmody liked thisShawn Darmody liked thisI’ve logged a lot of miles for work, but yesterday’s Delta Air Lines flight was one for the books and the ultimate upgrade. When I booked this trip I had no idea that my son was going to be my pilot. But once I realized it, I have been looking forward to this business trip for weeks. Walking onto the airplane and seeing my son in the pilot seat was incredibly rewarding. Watching his professionalism and skill firsthand was an unforgettable experience. Shoutout to Delta Air Lines for a great flight, the friendly crew and an even bigger shoutout to my son for a flawless landing. It is safe to say this is my favorite business trip to date. ✈️👨✈️ #Delta #Aviation #AviationDaily

Shawn Darmody liked thisShawn Darmody liked thisExcited to start a new chapter at 3M today, where I'm joining to lead the US and Canada for the Consumer Business Group. I still remember sitting in a materials science class at Georgia Institute of Technology, fascinated by how a shift at the molecular level could change the properties of something you'd hold in your hand. That image stuck with me long after I graduated. 3M is where that happens every day. A century of invention behind brands like Scotch, Post-it, Command, and Filtrete, among others - products people build their homes, work, and daily routines around - and a team whose charge is to keep reinventing the everyday to make a world of difference. Getting to bring my education and my professional experience together in one role feels like a unique privilege. Proud to join at an important moment for this team and for 3M. Let's go!

Kohl's Q3 results: 💰 Total sales: -3.9% 🛍️ Comp sales: -2.8% 📈 Net income: +160.4% Another quarter. Another decline. A drop of 3.9% in total sales may not look terrible, but it comes off the back of a string of declines. Indeed, Kohl's Q4 sales are down by 23.9% since the same period in 2019. Moreover, Kohl's customers' total spending (across all retailers) was up 2.7% over last year for this period. So it's not like they're retrenching - they're just spending less at Kohl's. The problem is that Kohl's is still not showing up for shoppers in the right way. Messy stores. Lackluster assortments. Too much mess. Too much clutter. Weird pricing. There have been some attempts to remedy the issues - but they are piecemeal and patchy. The saving grace is the strengthening of the profit line. Some is down to more discipline in operation. But some is also technical: an artificially low profit last year because of one-off costs, repayment of some debt (by issuing notes with a higher interest rate), and so forth. These things buy time, but they don't mitigate the necessity of growing the sales line. The trajectory is just not convincing: at best sales will be flat in 2026. #retail #Kohls #departmentstores
