Wiscar Marshe is a non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV. He is a newly recruited member of Ala Mhigan Resistance.
History[]
Wiscar was once a hostile youth, disillusioned by a harsh upbringing in the poverty-stricken village of Ala Gannha. It was this hard-hearted attitude that allowed him to survive while other Ala Mhigans his age were hanging on the Griffin's every word and volunteering for missions from which none would return. Thus when Lyse Hext and Meffrid Noward came to his settlement to recruit soldiers, Wiscar refused their entreaties. He was forced to rethink his stance after a stranger rescued one of his fellow villagers, a man Wiscar had given up for dead. He would later enlist as a soldier of the Resistance, and learn basic swordsmanship from Meffrid. Encouraged by the advice of the Warrior of Light, Wiscar's combat philosophy was rooted in the idea of "when in doubt, double your efforts!"[1]
In Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, Wiscar guided the Warrior of Light and company through the Salt Flats of Loch Seld to find the secret entrance to Ala Mhigo. Later, Wiscar joined the Warrior of Light to help rebuilt the Saltery, whence his grandfather haled. During this time, the Warrior of Light helped Wiscar use his fighting skills to hone the craft of fending off the local fauna, and not just Imperials.
