We are having a ham dinner at lunch time on Easter. We are leaving at 6:30 am for the sunrise service and will be returning around 11:30. Can I put my ham in a Nesco before leaving? If so, what temp? It is a 10lb bone in shank.

Nesco looks to be a kitchen appliance brand, but it's not clear what they specialize in. (Like how Instant Pot makes a lot more than pressure cookers these days). There are appliances like slow cookers that are often used unattended that would probably work, but you also need to consider the type of ham (raw, pre-cooked, country ham, etc)Joe– Joe2026-04-05 13:26:25 +00:00Commented Apr 5 at 13:26

I have a Nesco dehydrator, so if you slice the ham thin and crank the temperature to the max, you can have some ham jerky when you get back from church...Ecnerwal– Ecnerwal2026-04-05 21:17:28 +00:00Commented Apr 5 at 21:17
