So I've stumbled across this answer in the first answer queue: Review Mask

Since its not really an answer, but what qualifies as an answer in this question format anyway, I voted it down. Why can't I click on "Other Action" afterwards and finish the review?

    For the new questions, yes, thumbsdown is not a proper vote. I believe a thumbsup is still a regular vote. Commented Nov 4, 2025 at 14:19

    Interesting that "Add a comment" is displayed; I suspect leaving a comment would result in it then disappearing, as they aren't displayed on such questions. Commented Nov 4, 2025 at 15:25

    obviously, the only correct action is looks ok. The new content type has no curation outside of preventing spam. Commented Nov 4, 2025 at 16:51
  • @ThomA as far as I can tell comments do show in all UIs except for the new question page itself, so in the review queue they would show. Commented Nov 4, 2025 at 17:40
  • I raised a bug about them not, @cafce25 . I had an "answer" converted to a comment automatically on an opinion based question and even as a mod, I can't see that comment. Commented Nov 4, 2025 at 17:42
  • @ThomA yes, not in the question page, you can see them in edit view for example see this comment: meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/436394/… which points to stackoverflow.com/posts/79803036/edit where I can see the comment. I assume the review queue UI is not adapted to the new questions either. Commented Nov 4, 2025 at 17:44
