Andy Steenstra shared thisCongrats to the team here at Ludus who have made it the fastest growing software company in Michigan yet again! Its been fun and humbling to be a small part of this growth.Andy Steenstra shared thisFour years in a row. Ludus made the Inc. 5000 again, and this year, we’re the #1 software company in Michigan. We also ranked #106 among software companies nationwide and #1,189 among all private companies on the list. Those numbers make us proud. But the better story is what made them possible. Today, more than 5,500 performing arts organizations trust Ludus with their ticketing, fundraising, concessions, marketing, and day-to-day box office work. Our team keeps listening, building, answering the phone, and showing up when it matters. Growth means more when it comes from doing right by the people you serve. To every Ludus customer and every member of our team who helped put us here: thank you. Inc. Magazine #Inc5000 #PerformingArts #TeamLudus

Andy Steenstra shared thisExcited for Ludus to help performing arts organizations in a brand new and highly valuable way! Better data insights = Better Decisions = More focus on what is most important for that unique organization.Andy Steenstra shared thisFor years, I've watched performing arts organizations make some of their most important decisions without reliable data. What should we charge? Are we priced too low? What productions actually sell the most tickets? Meanwhile, at Ludus, we've been sitting on one of the largest sets of performing arts ticketing and fundraising data in the country. And we kept asking ourselves the same question: why aren't we using this to help our industry? Today, I’m excited to introduce Ludus Insights, a new suite of tools to help performing arts organizations make data-informed decisions. Launching today: Pricing Explorer answers the question every box office quietly worries about — "are we charging too much, or too little?" It shows how ticket prices compare by venue size, location, seating type, and specific productions, all from anonymized data across 60,000+ productions in Ludus. Top 100 Productions ranks what's actually selling across the entire network — so when groups are planning next season, they're working from what audiences have shown up for. (Hint: Christmas shows pack the house!) And coming later this summer: Ask My Data — ask questions in plain English about your box office, patrons, fundraising, or marketing, and get an answer back with the numbers, charts, and exports to prove it. A data analyst in every box office. Check it out 👉 insights.ludus.com

Andy Steenstra reposted thisAndy Steenstra reposted thisTypically I try to avoid an "ask" on LinkedIn, so forgive any faux paus as I make an exception to the rule today because... Today is World Theatre Day, an annual, international celebration of all the ways theater improves our lives and our communities. In honor of the day and to help set the stage for our biggest season ever, several members of the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and School of Theatre Arts board of directors have generously offered to match the first $1,000 donated today. Every dollar you give supports the impact of live theater performances and education in Grand Rapids, both today and for generations to come. Please visit https://lnkd.in/gYRF54We and support the most amazing theater representing our great community! And if you or your company are ready to meet the moment in a bigger way, connect with me about how you can invest in your community theater through sponsoring or partnership during our Centennial Season.

Andy Steenstra reposted thisAndy Steenstra reposted thisGreater Grand Rapids–based tech startup Ludus shows how businesses in the region are taking a community-focused approach while continuing to grow with support from local partners like the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and The Right Place. Since launching in 2016, founders Zachary Collins and Kevin Schneider have scaled Ludus to serve more than 5,000 organizations, taking what they describe as a “more neighborly approach” by leveraging community resources and building strong relationships. With support from an MEDC grant and ongoing business assistance from The Right Place, Ludus is an example of how tech startups are helping position the region as a competitive place to build innovative companies and create new, high-paying tech jobs. “Ludus is exactly the kind of company our 10-Year Tech Strategy was built to support—innovative, fast-growing, and choosing to scale in Greater Grand Rapids,” said Jen Wangler, Vice President of Technology at The Right Place. Andy Steenstra liked thisAndy Steenstra liked thisSitting in on “Founder vs. Investor” at Tech Week Grand Rapids today. Having spent years building businesses, advising leadership teams on risk, and teaching entrepreneurial finance, you learn quickly that this relationship is part math, part psychology, and a healthy dose of matchmaking. The founder asks: “Can you see what this could become?” The investor asks: “Have you calculated what happens if it doesn’t?” The magic is when the two finally meet in the middle—turning big vision into calculated, protectable growth. Tremendous turnout and sharp perspectives on stage today. Grand Rapids continues to prove it’s one of the best places to build, fund, and scale. Sales leaders don't wake up knowing exactly which report they need. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from unexpected questions. Which objection is becoming more common among enterprise prospects? Which reps consistently convert despite having lower-quality leads? What do our top performers do differently during Discovery? With Ask Zip, every sales conversation becomes searchable. Not by keywords. By meaning. Sometimes one unexpected question uncovers the insight that changes an entire sales strategy. The next revenue opportunity might already be sitting inside your call recordings.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 One phone call. And suddenly half your revenue feels at risk. This is what happens when your sales process lives inside one person's head. Most small businesses don't. And when that person leaves, they take the system with them because there was no system, only habits. Most founders calculate SDR ROI based on salary alone. They miss the hidden "burn multiplier." When you factor in tool stacks, data costs, management overhead, and the ramp curve, a $60k hire actually costs the business ~$105k before generating a single dollar of qualified pipeline. The math breaks because the Breakeven Horizon (Month 7) is dangerously close to the average Attrition Point (Month 11-14). If you don't own the infrastructure, you lose the asset when the person leaves. Here is the unit economics reality check most projections miss. Swipe through → #Sales2Code #SDR #FounderLedSales

When sales teams take on logistics, three things happen: 1️⃣ Deals slow down because prospecting takes a back seat. 2️⃣ Events underdeliver because details are missed. 3️⃣ Teams burn out trying to do two full-time jobs. A better model: ✅ Keep sales focused on relationship-building. ✅ Keep execution handled by people who think in timelines, budgets, and vendor negotiations. Separating sales from logistics is not a luxury, it is a growth requirement. #Logistics #BusinessDevelopmentEvents #BusinessDevelopment

How do you get salespeople to actually use the CRM? Ask any sales leader and it is near the top of their complaint list. Here is how the cycle usually goes: a manager spots empty deals. RevOps reacts by adding five new required dropdowns to enforce better habits. Reps immediately type "n/a" or "." into every single box just to bypass the gate and get back on the phone. Enablement gets asked to fix the compliance problem, but policing reps into doing unpaid data entry never works. If you want accurate deal notes, you have to make the CRM a byproduct of normal selling: ⚙️ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: Stop asking reps to log things software already tracks. Sync your email and call recorders directly into the opportunity record so tools capture attendees and timestamps automatically. ✂️ 𝗖𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀: Go through every single mandatory field with Ops. If a field does not change how leadership forecasts or runs pipeline reviews, get rid of it. 🎯 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Use deal reviews for strategy, not data audits. When pipeline check-ins feel like interrogations, reps write the bare minimum to stay out of trouble. When you talk deal strategy, reps quickly see that missing notes leave them unprepared on calls. #RevenueEnablement #SalesEnablement #RevGaze

Prospectory AI

Outbound problems aren’t random. They come from a broken system that asks reps to do too much, manually, with too little context. Here’s the pattern we kept seeing: Sales reps spend hours researching accounts, then get ghosted. They write the same cold message over and over, and still miss. They chase “in-market” leads but have no way to tell who’s actually ready. We built this tool to fix that at the source. It’s free. It’s fast. And it shows how context-first prospecting should actually work. You set your ICP. You describe the problem you solve. We return: • Accounts that match • People who matter • Messaging that’s already written This is just a preview of how Prospectory helps teams get better results with less guesswork. Sales Tip: Most Deals Are Lost Too Early Most sales aren’t lost because of price. They’re lost because follow‑up stopped too soon. Here’s a simple truth we teach business owners: Most deals close after multiple touches. A smart follow‑up cadence looks like this: • Day 0 • Day 2 • Day 5 • Day 9 • Day 14 • Day 21 • Day 30 Consistent, professional follow‑up builds trust and keeps you top of mind when the buyer is ready. Follow for more sales tips that actually work. #SalesTips #FollowUpStrategy #BusinessDevelopment #EntrepreneurSales #ConsistencyWins #AvidActionCOACH #AvidBusinessPerformanceGroup
