Mike earned a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois and has been a journalist for more than two decades. Mike has been a journalist for more than two decades, working for print and digital publications. He holds two journalism degrees from the University of Illinois and worked in metro news for more than a decade prior to writing and editing in the personal finance space.

Mike has edited numerous award-winning series, including breaking news coverage of a medical helicopter crash that killed four people, including a young patient.
