Jessica Quick liked thisJessica Quick liked thisThe more sophisticated skincare becomes, the more important the professional becomes. That belief was at the heart of Beauty in Brooklyn, where we brought together some of our top-performing aestheticians and spa partners, alongside professionals beginning their journey with [ comfort zone ]. As conversations around skin health expand into longevity, personalization, technology, and overall wellbeing, expertise matters more than ever. Science can give us extraordinary products, treatments, and tools – but it is the professional who understands the person in front of them and transforms that innovation into a meaningful experience and lasting results. That is why investing in our Davines Group | B Corp since 2016 professional community is so important to me. Beauty in Brooklyn was an opportunity to recognize outstanding achievements, as well as to connect, learn from one another, and think about how we continue raising the bar together. The future of skincare will be powered by innovation, remaining profoundly human, and professionals will be at its heart. 💚 #DavinesGoodLifeForAll #DavinesGroupPeople #DavinesGroupRegeneration #BeautyinBrooklyn #ComfortZone Davide Bollati Stefania Bollati Anthony Molet Stefano Benetti Alessandra Sabellico Alejandro Lopez Nunez Mark Giannandrea sonia ziveri Laura Gilieri Paolo Goi Marco Mazzucco Maria Vittoria Mangiarotti Andrea Mussi Paolo Penocchio KEVIN SCHWARTZ

Jessica Quick reacted on thisJessica Quick reacted on thisEarlier this year I made a decision that felt equal parts exciting and terrifying. I was going to build something on my own terms. I have two boys who are growing up faster than I can keep up with. I kept doing the math on what I was trading, and the answer kept coming back the same way. If I was ever going to build something that fit the life I actually want - present for my family, intentional about the work and the people I do it with - the time was now. So I founded Forceline Advisory. Twenty years across SDG&E and Cordoba Corporation gave me something most advisors don't have. Fifteen years as the utility owner responsible for outcomes. Five years as the consulting executive responsible for winning and delivering the work. I know what each side of the table is worried about because I've been accountable for it. Forceline is built around that. Senior advisory for utilities, consultants, and contractors - capital program governance, pursuit strategy, and fractional executive leadership. When you work with Forceline, you work with me. I'm grateful for every firm, client, colleague, and friend that has believed in me and has helped shape who I've become. I'm not closing any doors. I'm just finally building my own. If any of this resonates - I'd love to reconnect. 🔗 forcelineadvisory.com 📩 brad@forcelineadvisory.com 👉 Follow Forceline AdvisoryForceline Advisory | Strategy at the Point of ExecutionForceline Advisory | Strategy at the Point of Execution

Jessica Quick liked thisJessica Quick liked thisIn 2021, Joanna Griffiths raised $53 million while pregnant with twins. Then she started rejecting investors who questioned her pregnancy. Here's the story: Griffiths is the founder of Knix, a Toronto underwear brand she'd been building since 2013. She went out to raise while heavily pregnant. And in some of those rooms, the investors couldn't help themselves. One group asked, "who wants to be the last money in before she goes off and has her twins?" She didn't argue or try to win them over. She told her bank to disqualify them from the round. She closed the round on a Friday afternoon, her last day before leave, three days before the girls were born. A year later, Knix sold to Essity for about $320 million, one of the largest exits ever by a Canadian female founder. Griffiths kept a fifth of the company and stayed on to run it. The investors who flinched at a pregnancy passed on that. Here's what I take from it: When you raise money, you're not collecting cash. You're choosing partners for the next seven to ten years and handing them a seat at your table. How an investor behaves when something about you is inconvenient for them is the most honest data you'll ever get about who they are. Griffiths read that data and acted on it while eight months pregnant and mid-raise. Most founders don't read it at all until they're already stuck with the wrong people on their board. The term sheet runs both ways. You're allowed to use it. What would you have done in that room?

Here’s my prediction for 2026 and 2027: Booth rent salons and independent stylists will become fewer and farther between. Not because independence is bad. But because stylists are starting to want more than just a chair. Every day we hear from stylists who say, “I can’t find a salon that actually has a growth path.” They’re not looking to go back to broken commission models. They’re looking for structure. Leadership. A way to scale beyond standing behind the chair forever. Because the hard truth is this: if your income only depends on your hands, what’s the long-term plan? The salons that win in the next era will be the ones that build real career paths, not just rent space. So I’m curious: Owners, what are you building that makes top talent stay?

🔥 BEAUTY BOOMS: Fragrance Explodes, Makeup recovers — Holiday 2025 Is Set to Shine. The beauty industry is storming into the holidays with explosive momentum, fueled by record-breaking gains across prestige, masstige, and mass. 💥 FRAGRANCE IS ON FIRE — a Category in Full-Blown Lift-Off Prestige fragrance soared +6% to $5.9B, but the real fireworks came from consumer extremes: ultra-luxury scents surged double digits, while mini/travel juices jumped +12% and discovery sets skyrocketed +41%. Meanwhile, mass-market fragrance is unstoppable, rocketing +17% in dollars and climbing double digits in units — making it the fastest-growing category in mass beauty. 💄 MAKE UP IS COMING BACK — Lips Lead the Charge Prestige makeup hit $7.9B, up 3%, with every single segment—eye, face, lip, nail, sets—back in the green. Lip products are the undisputed stars, dominating both prestige and mass. 🎄 Holiday Outlook: Beauty Is Ready to Dominate. A blockbuster holiday season. One-third of consumers plan to gift beauty this year, sharply up from 2024. The strongest momentum? - High-income households - Families with children - Millennials & Gen Z 🎁 The Bottom Line: Beauty isn’t just growing — it’s surging.
