HCA Healthcare beat third-quarter expectations, with revenue reaching $19.85 billion and GAAP EPS (generally accepted accounting principles earnings per share) reaching $7.27. Strong insured volumes and cost controls offset a $400 million adjusted EBITDA impact from patients losing Affordable Care Act coverage. Management reaffirmed 2026 guidance, while signaling that 2027 earnings may remain broadly similar because Medicaid support is expected to decline.
