Alexandra Skaggs shared thisCongratulations to my husband, Federico G. Trobo, M.D. — voted as Denver’s Top Doctors 2022 - back to back years! ⭐️ 5280 surveys doctors annually and asks them, specialty by specialty, which metro-area physicians they would trust to treat themselves and their families. Federico was voted by his peers, representing the 4 Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology physicians on this years list out of the 343 doctors // 100 specialties. 🩺❤️🫀 I regularly get to see cards that his patients give him in thanks, or cakes they bake him for his birthday - and those tokens of gratitude are so special. It’s also remarkable to see him recognized by his peers 2 years in a row. Wow. I’m just so proud - the dedication, hard work, and incredible care for patients and your family is unmatched ❤️

Where top of funnel acquisition channels are unified and insights are shared to more thoughtfully engage our prospects. Where one unified data structure exists that ensures only clean, intelligent and compliant leads make it into our sales systems. Where revenue creation determines marketing spend rather than campaign performance. Where point solutions that don’t have a common language fall to the wayside. Alexandra Skaggs shared thisWe rolled out our evolved cultural values and it makes me proud to put our customers at the center of it all. I’m also proud to be a part of the Integrate team - we live these values everyday.Alexandra Skaggs shared thisYesterday we rolled out our evolved Integrate cultural values and we are proud to put our customers at the center of it all. Surrounding and supporting their success are our five core values: Performance to us means driving our behavior by answering the question, “What can I do today to add more value to our customers and my colleagues?” It is also about finding the courage to be the CEO of our job, regardless of our title. Innovation is focusing on building long-term customer value while not allowing ourselves to get distracted by the ‘hot trend’ of the day. It’s also about feeding our own intellectual curiosities while moving quickly to bring new solutions to market. Happiness as a core value was inspired by the work of Eric S. Yuan and the team at Zoom. Nothing gets us more excited than hearing the positive impact that we are having on the people that we serve. “Delivering Happiness” is our ultimate goal. Trust begins with the freedom to be the most authentic version of ourselves while engaging with humility as our default. Radical Candor is a core value inspired by Kim Malone Scott’s book. To us radical candor means caring deeply for one another while challenging each other directly and often. #culture #values #customersuccess

Alexandra Skaggs reacted on thisAlexandra Skaggs reacted on thisKC and I dressed up Friday night for the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts Ball with our friends; Jermaine Johnson and Rae Ann S. Johnson, Sumeet Shrivastava, Jeff Grass, Julian Setian, Jennifer Taylor and their wonderful spouses. Preservation Hall Jazz Band, a New Orleans menu, and the Filene Center under the stars. Hard to beat. Here's the part that stuck with me, and it came from Arvind Manocha, President and CEO of Wolf Trap Foundation, who gave a keynote worth the price of admission. Most people know Wolf Trap as the place you see a concert in the summer. What they don't know is that Wolf Trap's Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts reaches nearly 100,000 children, educators, and families a year, and it has the data to prove it works. In a randomized trial with Fairfax County Public Schools, Wolf Trap sent actors, musicians, puppeteers, and dancers into pre-K and kindergarten classrooms to teach math through the arts. Pattern recognition through movement. Sequencing through song. The kids gained the equivalent of 34 extra days of math learning in a year. Right now in Virginia, that program is in 766 classrooms across 52 school divisions. 88 percent of them are Title I or Head Start. Thirteen thousand children this year, most of whom would never have had a teaching artist walk into their classroom otherwise. That's the same problem we work on from the other side. As Vice Chair of the Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation, we're building a 70,000 sq ft science center in Dulles where kids can put their hands on how the world works. Wolf Trap does it with a stage and a song. Put the two together and you get STEAM. Most kids don't grow up with an engineer or a musician at the dinner table. The kid who becomes one is usually the kid who got exposed early, by someone who made the effort. One residency. One field trip. One adult who said, you could do this. That's the whole job. Not picking which kids are talented. Making sure every kid gets close enough to find out. The arts teach you to see. Science teaches you to test what you see. A child who gets both grows up able to imagine something and then build it. That's the person every company I've ever run was trying to hire. Grateful for friends who spend their evenings, and their checkbooks, making sure more kids get that chance. Who was the adult who put something in front of you early and changed where you ended up? Mine was my father, when he brought my sister and me to all the museums in NYC when we were kids. #steam #education #northernvirginia

Alexandra Skaggs liked thisAlexandra Skaggs liked this“Urim and Thummim.” One of the things that drew me to Yale is this phrase, etched into stone walls and at the heart of Yale’s coat of arms. These ancient words are most often translated as "Light and Truth" or “Lux et Veritas” Yale’s core mission is deeply connected to the pursuit of knowledge and using truth to illuminate the world. I’ve spent much of my adult life thinking about how to create and spread light. I believe one of the most important things we can do is prepare the next generation of leaders to seek truth and use what they learn to bring more light into the world. I’ve titled my new class "Leadership for Global Good," and there is no better home for it than the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, as we explore what it means to turn knowledge into action and leadership into service. The world needs more leaders who can turn knowledge into light. If you’re a student at Yale, I’d love to have you in my class or to have you visit me during office hours! I can’t wait to get started!

Alexandra Skaggs liked thisAlexandra Skaggs liked thisAnother week, another college drop-off. We left Los Angeles 11 years ago, and now we’re back to drop off Hannah. We’re so grateful to have amazing friends here who will be there for her while we’re on the other coast. KC Reeder and I are so proud of Hannah, but what a mixed bag of emotions. I’m excited that she changed her major to Toy Design, with an illustration minor, and now going to Otis College of Art and Design. At the same time, it’s hard having her so far away and knowing we can’t see her whenever we want. What an amazing time in our journey as parents. We get to watch our children grow up with confidence and discover their dreams. Happy to have helped provide them the “roots and wings” to go out and chase those dreams. The sky is the limit, and I know our children will do amazing things and make this world a better place! Onward and Upward!

Alexandra Skaggs liked thisAlexandra Skaggs liked thisFor 30 years, I've been saying I'd write the book. I've now started. I also started a Substack newsletter to build it in public. Every week, one piece. Operator stories from inside the rooms. Frameworks I use with PE-backed CEOs. Chapter previews. Things I've changed my mind about. I'm writing it because most of what I learned across 9 PE-backed CEO and operating seats, 50+ acquisitions, and 30 years scaling tech companies, I learned by getting it wrong first. I want you to learn from my scars so you don't have to earn your own. If you're a CEO scaling faster than your operating model can support, a PE operating partner trying to move a portfolio company forward, or an operator who wants to learn from rooms you haven't been in yet, this is for you. The inaugural post explains the why. Link in the comments below. Two asks. Subscribe if it lands. And if you know an operator who'd benefit, please share this post or forward the newsletter. Heroes don't scale. Systems do. #leadership #execution #PE

Alexandra Skaggs liked thisAlexandra Skaggs liked thisExcited to announce that I’ve joined Greenix as CEO. I made this decision because of the people I get to work with. Bob Nilsen, our retiring CEO, is someone I admire and trust. He’ll remain on our board, and I’m looking forward to serving with him. His support during this transition has been phenomenal, and I can’t thank him enough. Gridiron Capital LLC also played a massive role. They stand for integrity, transparency, and doing things the right way. From the first conversation, they handled the recruitment process with pure class, and the onboarding experience has been the best of my career. The opportunity to partner with Kevin Jackson, John Warner, Ryan Gardner, and the team is a huge win for me. I’m also joining a board that’s aligned and puts our teammates and customers first. The chance to work with Bryan Christiansen was a major reason I wanted to be part of this group. He’s a true pro with a deep understanding of the home services category. And I couldn’t be more grateful to work alongside our Greenix executive team and teammates who are already winning together and are obsessed with delivering exceptional experiences for our customers. You have all been so welcoming - thank you! This is exactly where I want to be. After exploring several industries, I kept coming back to the home services category. The opportunity ahead is real, and I’m excited for us to help shape what comes next. Thank you to everyone for your support over the past several months. If you’re ever in Orem, Utah - I hope you’ll stop by and visit us at Greenix HQ! – Nate

Alexandra Skaggs liked thisAlexandra Skaggs liked thisUnexpectedly laid off, but leaving with gratitude, pride, and lifelong friendships. After a little over a year at STCHealth, I recently found myself unexpectedly impacted by a re-organization following the company’s acquisition. To say it came as a surprise would be an understatement. Like so many who have been through similar experiences, the initial feelings of defeat were real - especially after pouring myself into the work as a top performer, helping drive meaningful change and genuinely caring for the long-term success of the company. That said, I’m walking away with something far greater than a job title: incredible memories and relationships. The people I worked with weren’t just colleagues; over time, they became friends. I was fortunate to be surrounded by genuine, good people who inspired me daily, and for that I’ll always be grateful. There are too many to tag in this post but you know who you are. One of the greatest highlights of my time at STCHealth was the opportunity to once again work with a leader I deeply respect and am proud to also call a friend, Joe Kelly. He embodied what true leadership looks like: 1) He took action and removed barriers. 2) He held people accountable in constructive ways. 3) His words and actions aligned - he did what he said he would do. 4) He elevated the strengths of his team, creating space for us to thrive. 5) Most importantly, he genuinely cared about his people. It was both inspiring and rewarding to work under someone who led with integrity and heart. Joe, I truly hope our paths cross again! As I reflect on my year at STCHealth, I feel pride in the many ways I contributed to transforming operations and driving positive change as the company moved from a development services model to a SaaS model. Having helped mature, streamline and increase speed to market of the product delivery organization as well as establish the first and successful release planning and delivery framework on the SaaS side is something I’ll carry forward with confidence and gratitude. Now, I’m looking ahead. I’m officially open to work and eager to bring my skills to a new opportunity. If you’re seeking a down-to-earth, collaborative leader with proven strengths in operations, process improvement, program management, and project management, I’d love to connect. Here’s to new beginnings and the next chapter... #opentowork

Alexandra Skaggs liked thisAlexandra Skaggs liked thisFor anyone who’s struggling right now, for whatever reason, I'd like to share a personal experience... Nineteen years ago today, my wife and I lost our second child. For a long time afterward, I felt lost. Getting through each day was an uphill battle. Tonight, we're celebrating our daughter’s life the same way we do every year: by writing messages on pink balloons and sending them into the sky. It’s our way of staying connected to her. Grief has a way of reshaping us. It doesn’t go away, but over time, it becomes part of who we are and quietly strengthens us in ways we don’t always see. If you’re in the middle of something heavy, just know you’re not alone. Healing takes time and there is always light on the other side. -Nate

We need to connect this to the PINN clusters coming to Corpus. The "proper deployment" of AI Data Centers is valuable; they are the 21st-century refineries. Even more critical are Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones that provide value to our region, our businesses, and our kids by activating a new class of locally built service providers, founded by local entrepreneurs. It is just two words: “Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones”. Texas Lone Star Edge https://lnkd.in/gGsU8-2g
