Dan Keough shared thisHappy Intern Day! This summer, we welcomed an incredible group of interns to Holmes Murphy offices across the country. Watching these talented young professionals learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions to our teams has been one of the highlights of the season. I’m proud of the energy, curiosity, and leadership they’ve brought to our organization, and I’m excited to see where their careers take them. Thank you for choosing Holmes Murphy to be part of your journey!

Dan Keough shared thisEarlier this week, I had the opportunity to attend the fourth and final session of the Insure Your Future (IYF) Program, hosted at Athene. My youngest son, Mark Keough, is having a rich internship experience at The Mutual Group, which also allowed him to experience the IYF program this summer. This session featured an Innovation segment where BrokerTech Ventures and the Global Insurance Accelerator were also highlighted. We are fortunate to have two of the strongest Insurtech Accelerators located right here in Greater Des Moines (DSM). Congratulations to Michael Gould for creating such an impactful program for young talent to engage in our industry, and to Jim Lewis for all of your support of the Insurtech ecosystem!

Dan Keough shared this"More than just a salary and security, employees are looking for workplaces where they feel understood, respected, and valued." I couldn't agree more. Our Holmes Murphy leadership team understands the importance of growing together and has made a commitment to supporting not only our business goals, but also our people, their personal lives, and their professional development. Each of these elements is essential to our organization's long-term success. The new rules of leadership start with emotional intelligenceThe new rules of leadership start with emotional intelligence

Dan Keough shared thisOne of the things that excites me most about our work with BrokerTech Ventures is the opportunity to connect great ideas with industry leaders around the world. Our growing relationship with InsurTech Israel reflects what's possible when we bring together different perspectives, experiences, and expertise to tackle the future of insurance. The best innovation happens through collaboration, and I'm excited to see how these global connections continue to create value for our industry and the clients we serve.

Dan Keough shared thisThis is a great reminder. The best leaders create clarity, invite participation, and give employees a sense of ownership in the outcome. When people help shape the future, they’re far more likely to champion it.Your Employees Are The Customers Of Change. Treat Them That WayYour Employees Are The Customers Of Change. Dan Keough liked thisDan Keough liked thisLast week, we wrapped up the 2026 SOUL class at HMA, and I'm incredibly grateful for the experience. The connections, lessons, and memories made throughout this journey will extend far beyond the program and continue to shape my career for years to come. I'm especially thankful for my outstanding team (Sam Lozada, Brenna Williams, Natalie Beener, MBA, ARM, AINS, and Zachary Coppola). Despite coming from different offices and departments, we came together to create something meaningful, and it was a privilege to work alongside each of them. A special thank you to Steve McManus, CPCU, Julie McAnally, and Marlee Leiting for their leadership and dedication to making this program such a success. Truly the best! Reflecting on this opportunity reminds me how fortunate I am to be part of an organization that invests in its people, encourages growth, and celebrates independence. Thank you, Holmes Murphy, for an unforgettable experience!

Dan Keough liked thisDan Keough liked thisLeadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about having the courage to take the next step, especially when the path forward isn't perfectly clear. Some of the most important growth in our careers happens when we're stretched beyond our comfort zones, leading through change, making difficult decisions, navigating uncertainty, and learning from setbacks. Those experiences don't just test us; they shape us. I've found that confidence often comes after action, not before it. The leaders who make the greatest impact aren't necessarily the ones who feel the most prepared. They're the ones willing to raise their hand, embrace challenges, and grow through the process.Leadership Builds Strength, Not The Other Way AroundLeadership Builds Strength, Not The Other Way Around

Dan Keough liked thisA club’s identity is shaped by the people, places, and traditions that surround it. Parma Calcio 1913 in collaboration with PUMA Group have unveiled the new 2026/27 Away Kit jersey, a design that celebrates the connection between the club and the city it represents. Inspired by Parma’s architecture and cultural heritage, the kit reflects the history, character, and pride that make the city unique. As part of the Krause Group family of companies, Parma Calcio continues to honor its proud history while building toward the future. Through the club’s continued growth across its women's, men’s, and youth programs, Parma remains connected to the community and the generations of supporters who carry its legacy forward. We look forward to seeing these new jersey's brought to life on the field this season. https://lnkd.in/gJGn23e6Dan Keough liked thisParma Calcio e PUMA Group presentano il nuovo Away Kit che sarà indossato dalla Prima Squadra Maschile e Femminile e dal Settore Giovanile nel corso della stagione calcistica 2026/27. Dan Keough liked thisI actually enjoy the pressure that comes with speaking on live television. There are no re-do’s or second chances. You have to come prepared and be very succinct with your commentary. When I get asked about the skills that matter most for those just starting out, I always say one of the most important skills to have is the ability to communicate effectively. You will be an incredible asset if you can communicate with clients, coworkers, and partners in a meaningful way. Building relationships, engaging with clients, conveying a particular message, and negotiating all come through excellent communication skills. It may not be easy for most and will likely be very uncomfortable to develop, but it will be worth it.

More people expect to age without a partner. Logica recently partnered with the Society of Actuaries to study the experiences and concerns of solo agers. The findings helped inform our CEO and Founder Lilah Raynor's new article, "Solo Agers Need More Support," published in ThinkAdvisor. The piece looks at how concerns around decision-making, care coordination, and long-term advocacy are shaping how solo agers think about planning. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gkBDCPqi
