Last week was a chance to celebrate what we've built, recognize the people who make it all possible, and reflect on the impact we've created together. But what excites me most is that this wasn't just about looking back. It was about building momentum for what's ahead for Holmes Murphy. I'm incredibly grateful for the talent, passion, and commitment across our team. The future is bright because of the people who show up every day to serve our clients, support one another, and push us forward.

I am fortunate to “Love what I do – and who I do it with,” each and every day. I also believe that it is important to take time to recharge, step into nature, and remind ourselves of this great world we are fortunate to be a part of. I had the good fortune to unplug this Labor Day with our first family visit to Yellowstone. Independence is a gift and one I cherish. I am thankful on this Labor Day for all of our incredible teammates, clients, and collaborators, who make my life and Holmes Murphy a better place.

Thank you to Holmes Murphy for hosting and sharing your beautiful building. With Benjy Klostermann and Thomas Stewart serving as Co-Chairs of the 2026 campaign, the Tocqueville Society continues a legacy that has generated more than $128 million in support of Central Iowa since 1984. Congratulations to Don Coffin and Mary Coffin, recipients of the 2026 Tocqueville Society Award, for their longstanding commitment to service and community leadership. It was also great to see United Way President Mary Sellers and her team highlighting the power of collective giving and the meaningful difference these investments make throughout our region. A special highlight was seeing Maria Volante on stage. Having recently joined me as a guest on my "LED - Leadership with Ed," it was wonderful to see her leadership, passion, and dedication to Central Iowa reflected throughout the event. I’m especially excited for the chance to challenge myself, learn from people across the company, and get a better understanding of where I want to take my career in finance. I also want to give a special thank you to Emily Matulac for helping me throughout the recruiting process, as well as Jaleah Klein, Kyle Corbin, and Brian Kolpek for taking the time to speak with me and share more about their experiences at Principal. Every conversation made me even more excited about the opportunity to join the team. I’m looking forward to a great summer, meeting new people, and learning as much as I can!
