The Bloodbones (ブラッディボーン, Buraddibōn?, lit. Bloody Bone), also known as the R. BONE, Red Bone, or Bloody Bones, is a creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in the original Final Fantasy. It is typically a stronger variant of the Skeleton.

The Bloodbones appears as an enemy exclusive to the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary releases, encountered in Arubboth.
Final Fantasy IV[]
The Bloodbones, also known as the Red Bone, appears as an enemy encountered in Mt. Hobs, Mount Ordeals, and the Cave of Eblan. It also appears in the Lunar Ruins in the Advance and Complete Collection releases. It is a relatively weak enemy that can be killed with a single Fire spell.

The Bloodbones returns as an enemy encountered on Mt. Hobs. Due to being undead, Rosa can easily defeat them with curative spells.
Final Fantasy XI[]
The Bloody Bones appears as a draugar dark knight notorious monster encountered in the Arrapago Reef. It can appear place of one of the Draugar Servants that normally appear in the reef with lengthy respawn timer. It is the only regular source of the Blackjack scythe and Ace's Locket accessory.

In Western folklore, Bloody Bones is a bogeyman figure feared by children and is sometimes called Rawhead, Tommy Rawhead, or Rawhead-and-Bloody-Bones (with or without the hyphens).
