Nymurod (ニムロッド, Nimuroddo?), also known as Nimrod, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. They are tripedal artillery weapons.

Nimrods are a type of forgekin employed by the Garlean Empire, primarily in Bozja. They are generally much smaller but more mobile than their Type-0 counterparts.

Final Fantasy Type-0[]

Nymurod is an enemy encountered in the fourth and sixth chapters. Nymurods stand still and fire their long-range RPGs that explode and knock down all nearby units.

Etymology[]

[view · edit · purge]Nimrod, king of Shinar, was, according to the Book of Genesis and Books of Chronicles, the son of Cush, the great-grandson of Noah. He is depicted in the Bible as a mighty one in the earth and a mighty hunter. Extra-biblical traditions associating him with the Tower of Babel led to his reputation as a king who was rebellious against God.
