Nicolas Jammet shared thisSweetgreen x Fishwife is officially on the menu. Fishwife knows its fisheries. We know our farms. And both brands share a belief that great food starts with knowing where your ingredients come from and choosing partners who care deeply about quality. At Sweetgreen, we’ve spent years building relationships with farmers and partners we trust. Fishwife brings that same level of care to the water. Bringing our two worlds together felt pretty natural. I've been a long time mega fan of founder Becca Millstein and what she's building. The result is a peak-summer Tuna Niçoise built around Fishwife’s Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon, seasonal vegetables, and a bright lemon tarragon vinaigrette. It’s Fishwife’s first-ever appearance on the Sweetgreen menu, complete with a custom co-branded tin featuring original artwork by Danny Miller, and exactly the kind of partnership we love bringing to life. Two brands. A shared obsession with great ingredients. One very good summer salad. Proud to finally have Fishwife at Sweetgreen. Too good to stay in the tin. Catch it through August 23 or till tins last!

Nicolas Jammet shared thisThis week, we launched a collaboration with the icon Alice Waters to celebrate peak summer peaches grown from the best farmers. This salad is an ode to the famous Peach on a plate dessert at Chez Panisse and proceeds from the salad go to support The Edible Schoolyard program, Alice’s life work. For the whole west coast we are sourcing our peaches from the iconic Frog Hollow Farms, who we've bought from for many years. This collab feels quite personal as Alice was an early inspiration for our food ethos and how we thought about building our supply chain. Also Alice is how we met farmer Al at Frog Hollows. A decade ago when i was looking to sign a lease in Berkeley in a former historic burger spot that had closed down the street from Chez PAnisse, I went to seek Alice's blessing to be on the street and she said as long as you buy from organic farmers, and introduced us to Frog Hollows, we still buy from him today. I am also honored that we get to take this concept of the perfect peach on plate that started in one restaurant and now we will be featuring this in our 300 restaurants in over 30 states, a true showcase of Alice's impact on the food system, even down to fast casual. Feels like someone sweetgreen can uniquely say and do compared to our peers. And all is support of her life's work, Edible Schoolyard. In celebration of the collab, we launched a zine called LOVE LETTERS TO ALICE with letters from big voices in food that know Alice best, worked for her or are inspired by her, we have some great letters from voices like Michael Pollan, Dan Barber, Nancy Silverton, Jessica Koslow, Ignacio Matos, David Chang, Ashley Rouse, Suzanne Goin, Sam Kass, Ron Finley, Jose Andres, Mark Bittman, Alex Weiser, David Gelb etc...

Nicolas Jammet shared thisWraps are live. Proud of our team and especially for our custom sweetgreen tortilla wrap that we decided to custom produce since we couldn't find any on the food service market that fit our ethos. It has only 4️⃣ ingredients: extra virgin olive oil, unbleached and unenriched wheat flour, sea salt, and water, with no artificial preservatives. We spent the last year developing it with a trusted partner to meet our standards because every detail matters.

Nicolas Jammet liked thisNicolas Jammet liked thisOn the ground sweetgreen in Austin. Spent the yesterday visiting restaurants across the city and closed with a roundtable of Head Coaches on Culture and Hospitality…… One moment stuck with me 🥑 I asked the group a simple question: when teams get heads down on tasks, what gets in the way of actually seeing the customer in front of them? Head Coach Irina, who leads our 2nd + Colorado team, didn't hesitate. "We tell the team: drop what you're doing and help right away. That's stop, drop, and bowl," she said. It's a simple phrase, but it's doing real work. It turns a hospitality principle into something a team member can act on in the middle of a rush, & a customer feels it. 🌱 That's the difference between a value on a poster and a behavior that shows up on the floor 🥦 The best operators I meet don't manage culture from a binder, they translate it into sweetservice language their team already understands. That's how a phrase becomes muscle memory across a shift, and eventually across every shift, at every restaurant 🌱 Closed the day at our Molly Baz x sweetgreen wrap launch, "Lunch Means Business" signage on full display, and spent a few minutes with one of our social content partners hearing directly what customers are saying about Molly's Big Dill Caesar Wrap. Good collaborations do the same thing good operators do, they take something simple and make it feel considered 🥙 Thank you to Ulises Du Bon, Fonzi & the whole Austin team for the time, the candor, and the reminder that the best systems are the ones simple enough to repeat. 📍 200 W 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701 🏋️🥗🎰🤑 #SweetgreenCulture #RestaurantLeadership #PeopleFirst #HospitalityMatters #OneBestWay

Turns out I was just borrowing the money until my wife discovered the menu. Y’all got her ADDICTED. I’m gonna need that employee discount reinstated. 😂 As you can see she hasn’t discovered we pay for premiums!! lol #Sweetgreen

Health-Ade generated more than $173 million in dollar sales through January 20, 2026, according to Circana. In refrigerated beverage economics, that scale moves the brand beyond niche fermentation and into institutional perimeter relevance. Kombucha’s first chapter was narrative-driven live cultures, authenticity, alternative wellness. The current chapter is infrastructure-driven. Refrigerated resets have tightened. SKU counts have compressed. Velocity now determines survival. Brands that remain are those that justify cold-chain cost per linear foot. Following its reported $500 million acquisition by Generous Brands, Health-Ade expanded distribution into 8,000 Dollar General locations, 1,100+ Wawa, Inc. stores, and exclusive placement at Love's Travel Stops. That mix is meaningful. Value and travel are repeat-driven channels. They reward reliability and operational discipline. Expansion there suggests confidence in turns and margin structure, not experimentation. From a capital markets perspective, refrigerated scale changes the profile of a beverage business. Cold-chain infrastructure requires disciplined logistics, inventory accuracy, and retailer integration. But once that fixed network is absorbed, incremental doors improve operating leverage. Infrastructure does not guarantee dominance but it can compound advantage. From a retailer lens, sustained velocity strengthens negotiating posture during resets. Brands that consistently perform shape assortment instead of reacting to it. In a perimeter environment where space is finite, predictability becomes currency. From a competitive set lens, the framing shift may be the most important. Kombucha positioned solely as artisanal wellness competes narrowly. Positioned within a broader functional and metabolic conversation digestive support, routine system maintenance, low-sugar hydration it enters a larger performance-forward refrigerated ready-to-drink arena. The perimeter of the store carries implied credibility: freshness, daily utility, physiological intent. Categories built there skew habitual rather than occasional. Habit drives frequency. Frequency supports durability. Viewed this way, Health-Ade’s trajectory is less about flavor innovation and more about structural positioning leveraging refrigerated presence, scaled distribution, and retailer confidence to secure permanence within the cold box. Narrative may open the door. In refrigerated beverage, infrastructure keeps it. 🔌 BevNET CPG Media

Searching for growth? General Mills has announced plans to boldly go after the over 55s in their quest to increase volumes. While much of CPG chases 18-45s or the latest wellness fad, General Mills is placing its bets on three under-the-radar, high-leverage consumer groups: - Adults aged 55 +, who account for nearly half of U.S. households and have enormous spending power. - Consumers using GLP-1 medications (up to 12%+ of U.S. adults), who’re eating less but seeking more protein, more functional nutrients, smaller portions. - Hispanic shoppers, where General Mills plans to ramp up innovation and engagement by ~40% in FY26. This move takes product renovation in new directions - redesigning products and formats to match how people now live, eat and feel. They’re innovating for smaller households (smaller pack sizes), higher-protein need states, functional nutrition and not just indulgence. And this isn’t an isolated move. It’s part of a broader CPG reboot as the absence of growth looms. The U.S. wine and spirits market has plummeted from its pandemic highs. At-home consumption pulled demand forward, and what followed has been a reset marked by softer volumes, rising inventories, and a consumer who is drinking less and thinking more about health. Spirits have been more resilient, but even there growth is slowing. Wine is the clear laggard, losing relevance across multiple price points. The issue is generational. Gen Z and Generation Alpha are not adopting alcohol the way Baby Boomers did. Wellness, moderation, and alternative social rituals are reshaping the landscape. Penfolds sees that clearly. This move is about customer acquisition, not brand awareness. Pop Icon Troye Sivan brings cultural relevance, not just reach. He connects the brand to a younger, global audience that lives at the intersection of music, fashion, and digital culture. But wine still carries signals of formality and occasion that don’t naturally align with how younger consumers engage.

Coffee companies continue to trade at a premium — often well above the restaurant sector median. From Starbucks with a $90B+ market cap to the newly public Black Rock Coffee Bar, investors are rewarding the category’s combination of brand power, daypart diversification, and asset-light scalability. But the headline numbers obscure the nuance. Even within coffee, performance varies widely. Same category, different stories — some are growing fast but chasing margins; others command consistency but face saturation; and new entrants are yet to prove their brand. The spread reflects not hype, but differences in system sophistication, throughput, and capital discipline. Premium multiples in coffee aren’t just about caffeine (or beverage) culture — they’re a proxy for planning and execution. As valuations diverge, investors are leaning harder on diligence to separate durable growth from over-caffeinated projections. For emerging brands, understanding what drives those multiples — and engineering the systems behind them — will define who becomes the next Starbucks, and who stays local. #restaurants #valuation #coffee
