1.21.1 Release Candidate 1 (known as 1.21.1-rc1 in the launcher) is the first and only release candidate for Java Edition 1.21.1, released on August 7, 2024,[1] which fixes two critical exploits including update suppression and adds two new languages.

- Fixed an exploit which allows modified clients to crash the server by requesting command completion for a malicious target selector input, causing a crash due to stack exhaustion.
