K.C. Gulbro shared thisStill fighting- #openIllinois In our current Case, we have asked for discovery, so the Governor to provide his numbers and the science in which he is ruling. We have been stonewalled and delayed by their team. It is a tactic being used in hopes we will run out of funding, and drop our case, not based on argument, but on financials. we are hoping that the Judge will force his hand. While we wait, we have filed an appeal to the state's Supreme Court Right now, we are asking for a fair trial- free of politics. Our hopes are that we will be given one based on the law and due process. We feel our team has made strong arguments in every hearing, and are confident in a victory. In order to do so, we need the Supreme Court to make this ruling and take this case. Foxfire is not just doing this for themselves, a win will be something that will help Moms and Pops, small businesses, and so forth more than any stimulus check or pppl would. A win will also keep the Governor from doing this again, abusing our state's constitution and overreaching based on politics. Giving a voice and hope back to the people of Illinois. And what better timing than the holiday season to do so.

K.C. Gulbro liked thisK.C. Gulbro liked thisThis week, I had the incredible opportunity to present to a group of nearly 100 cattlemen at Purina Mills, LLC. As always, the Purina team is amazing to work with and their facility at Gray Summit is jaw dropping. The level of research and development that goes into their feed is truly unmatched! I gave a live beef cutting demonstration focused on alternative ways to merchandise beef, followed by a sampling session of top sirloin cap grilled on a Weber Kettle. From start to finish, the crowd was engaged, asked great questions, and we had meaningful conversations about how to bring more value to the beef we raise and sell. It was an honor to share what I am passionate about and even better to see how useful and appreciated the information was received. If you're organizing an event, workshop, or producer meeting and are looking for someone to bring practical, engaging beef education to the table (see what I did there? 😉), I’d love to talk. K.C. Gulbro liked thisK.C. Gulbro liked thisDeath, has been a highly effective educator to me, during my life. Learning how to deal with loss, the anger of the moment, the years of deep feelings that follow, the ability to find peace while dealing your way through supporting others, has shaped who I am today, significantly. We all pay a price when Death visits, I have a brilliant friend who reminded me once that no one and nothings makes you feel anything, that you are the only controller of your feelings. It is you that services your guilt and sadness. Those that love you, surround you, support you, also pay a price as well. Friendships, relationships, marriages, kids, family, careers, can all be lost to grief. We are truly one bad day from "Falling Down". But, We will rise from the ashes, we will find our sunny days, we will learn to carry the pain, not lose to it, but carry the memories in our minds and hearts. Our life is a reminder to have the conversations, stay up late and laugh, hug longer, get angry less, build instead of tear down, plant the right ideas, hate less, learn forever, and be a better friend, family member, or leader. The most important lesson I have learned from death, is that I can survive it, and use its lessons to help others deal with it on their hardest day. "Carry on my wayward son, there will be peace when you are done, lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more."

With the Culinary leadership team of an incredible partner..... They wanted to know, which tenderloin was better, Certified Angus Beef® or American Wagu. No lie, ours was the clear winner, not by my choice, by theirs. By all measurable standard, ours was the better eating experience. 30 day wet aged, 48oz. Certified Angus Beef® Porterhouse for the win.... I couldn't agree more.... As my mentor always said.... No Bragging, Only Facts!

K.C. Gulbro liked thisK.C. Gulbro liked thisPause..... A most powerful moment.... When what you don't say, speaks louder than what you do. For me, I imagine it's like pulling a pin on a grenade, letting it burn a few seconds in your hands, and then throwing it into action. Lay out the thought, let it simmer, and then bring in the right cross of words in a way that the audience never sees coming. The announcement that we are here for a bigger impact, than just talking, this is what powerful interactions are all about. An Intentional Verbal Assault, that lets people know, that they should be ready to hold on tight. We came to train, not have a nice conversation. "If it's not Certified, (Pause) It's not the best"

The beverage industry is witnessing a notable shift with the rising popularity of non-alcoholic (NA) beer. Recent statistics from the Beer Institute highlight the significant impact of this trend, showing a remarkable 22.2% increase year-to-date and a notable 16.4% rise over the past twelve months. July 2024 stood out with a striking 30.8% spike year-over-year, emphasizing the growing consumer acceptance of NA beer. Beyond being a health-conscious choice, the younger demographic, including Gen Z and millennials, is leading the charge towards non-alcoholic alternatives. A substantial 61% of these consumers expressed a preference for non-alcoholic versions of their favorite beers, signaling a clear shift in drinking habits. This shift is reshaping social settings, where non-alcoholic options are gaining ground over traditional alcoholic beverages. Additionally, 57% of younger drinkers stated they would prolong their stay at venues offering diverse non-alcoholic selections, benefiting both consumers and establishments alike. Whether reducing alcohol intake or simply seeking a refreshing option to pair with a favorite meal like pizza, the enduring appeal of non-alcoholic beers is evident, dispelling any notions of a passing trend. Catering to a more health-conscious audience seeking the craft beer experience without the alcohol content is just good business. NA beers also offer a practical solution for individuals balancing work commitments while still enjoying a beer without the effects of alcohol consumption. Looking ahead, the future seems promising for non-alcoholic beers, having established a prominent presence in the beverage landscape. With increasing availability and a rising preference among younger consumers, the widespread inclusion of NA beers on beer menus nationwide has become a common sight. If you're in the bar and restaurant industry and you're not offering NA beers, you are missing out. Remember all of the profit and none of the liability.
